Family Violence Prevention Program

Breaking the Cycle. Building Healthier Responses.

Sponsored by Wiregrass Foundation and The City of Dothan CDBG grant

The Family Violence Prevention Program free, 12-week intervention and prevention program designed to help individuals who are struggling with anger and may be at risk of harming others. Developed by Dr. Robert Grice, a trauma-trained Licensed Professional Counselor, the program helps participants identify the roots of their anger, understand the underlying causes of their behaviors, and develop healthier, more productive ways to respond to conflict and stress.

Through guided education, self-reflection, and practical tools, participants learn strategies for emotional regulation, accountability, communication, and behavior change. The goal of the program is to prevent violence before it occurs by equipping individuals with the insight and skills needed to build safer relationships and healthier responses.

This program is offered free of charge and serves as a valuable resource for individuals seeking support, as well as for judges and attorneys who refer clients in need of intervention and personal growth.
